
Former Mountain View two-time state champion Lillian Gradillas-Flores went undefeated at 21-0 to cap off an NAIA national championship held Friday and Saturday in Park City, Kansas. Gradillas-Flores, of Southern Oregon won by decision over Haley Ward (Avila) in a 2-1 decision in the 207-pound division.
“It feels so crazy honestly,” Gradillas-Flores told AllSportsTucson. “I went from getting a bid into the national tournament last year and losing in the first round to winning it all this year. It truly shows my growth, hard work and dedication.”
