DEVELOPMENTS

The San Diego Padres have promoted for Arizona right-handed relievers Michael Flynn and Clark Candiotti. Flynn is advancing to Triple-A El Paso from Double-A San Antonio, while Candiotti is going from Single-A+ Fort Wayne (Ind.) to Double-A San Antonio. Flynn was 1-2 with a 4.15 ERA in 13 innings at San Antonio. He had seven walks, 16 strikeouts and a 1.46 WHIP. Candiotti went 1-2 with a 5.71 ERA in 17 1/3 innings at Fort Wayne.
