Crest Insurance owner Cody Ritchie and his family attended the United States vs. Paraguay game on Friday. Ritchie and his wife Patsy are major donors to Arizona’s athletic programs. They have dedicated a gift commitment of $1 million to Arizona Athletics toward the Wildcat Scholarship Fund and program enhancements for Arizona football, as well as Arizona Men’s and Women’s Golf. Half of the gift went toward the Wildcat Scholarship Fund, which helps provide room, board, books, fees and meals for Arizona student-athletes. Crest Insurance will conduct a new initiative supporting collegiate athletics across the state: the Crest Cup Challenge, launching this fall. Outcomes of competition between Arizona and ASU athletes will involve NIL gifts made by Crest.

Digital creator Ryan Hargreaves and his wife Leticia attended the USA vs. Paraguay match.

Former Channel 4 KVOA sports reporter Paul Cicala, a Desert View grad, is taking in the atmosphere of the World Cup at Mexico City. He shares photos of Sunnyside graduate Franc Contreras, a journalist, conducting live shots for the Chinese Global Television Network.
