David Puig came through with his best performance of the year on one of the biggest nights of his life — Senior Night at Rio Rico High School.
The wide receiver/defensive back had a memorable game on what was already a night to remember.
Puig scored five touchdowns, two coming on kickoff returns of 89 and 80 yards, another on a 54-yard punt return and two more as a receiver.
He finished with 96 yards on four receptions and also had a 10-yard run. He recorded four tackles on defense.
For his spectacular performance against Cholla, Puig is the APS Digital Print/Frog & Firkin Week 9 Player of the Week.
Banners from APS Digital Print will be presented to the player and coach at an end-of-season awards gathering at Frog & Firkin.
