Pima Community College coach Jason Hisey has stepped down as head baseball coach.
Hisey was 196-188-1 in seven years at Pima. His teams made the Region I Tournament in three of his first four years with the Aztecs.
“It has become increasingly more difficult to complete my duties as head baseball coach for Pima Community College. My primary business has required my full undivided attention at times and baseball has suffered,” Hisey said in a statement through Pima. “I appreciate the opportunity to coach college baseball. I want what is best for the program. Unfortunately at this time, it is for me to step aside and let somebody who can commit, without distraction or reservation, to the position of head baseball coach for Pima Community College.”
Pima will search for its fifth baseball coach in program history.
