Paige Maggio is only two years removed from her senior season at Arizona and now she is leading a program of her own at Mountain View High School as the girls soccer coach.
Maggio, known as Paige Crouch in her Arizona career from 2013-16 before her marriage, is the fifth different coach at Mountain View in the last eight years. The Mountain Lions are 4-1, only one win shy of last year’s win total in a 5-9-3 season.
During her Arizona career, Maggio was known for her flip throw-ins. She also had three game-winning shots as a senior in the 2016.

Maggio became connected with Mountain View when she played for FC Tucson last year.
She played under FC Tucson coach Amy Garelick, who is married to Mountain View principal Todd Garelick. Todd Garelick is also an assistant coach with the FC Tucson team.
Maggio’s hire increases the number of former Arizona athletes who presently are head coaches to 38.
She is the second women’s soccer player to be hired in Tucson. Alex Davis has been Flowing Wells’ head coach since 2011. The complete list:
