— RB Serge Gboweiah rushed 204 yards on 16 carries.
— RB Carlos Alvarez carried the ball 13 times for 118 yards.

Salpointe 58, Sahuaro 13
— RB Bijan Robinson rushed for 133 yards on nine carries with four TDs. He also had three catches for 62 yards and a TD. Robinson’s rushing yards — all in the first half because he sat after Salpointe built a 51-7 halftime lead — gives him 5,927 in his career. That broke the Arizona big-school (Class 4A-6A) record of 5,878 set by former Tolleson standout Marcus Thomas from 1999-2002.
— Robinson is at 1,126 yards rushing this season on only 48 carries (average of 23.5 yards per carry). He is on pace to become the first running back in the state to have three 2,000-yard seasons in his career. Former Saguaro and current Arizona Cardinals standout Christian Kirk — who played for Arizona coach Kevin Sumlin at Texas A&M — graduated in 2014 with a big-school state-record 103 career touchdowns. Robinson, with 96, is only seven touchdowns from that state record. Robinson also broke the 4A-6A career rushes for a touchdown FridY night with 86, passing CDO legend Ka’Deem Carey (82) and former Peoria standout Jamal Miles (83).
— Robinson also led Salpointe with three receptions for 62 yards and a TD and he had two kickoff returns totaling 104 yards.
— QB Jackson Bolin completed all seven of his pass attempts for 158 yards with two touchdowns. His passes were to five different receivers.
— LB Trent Strong had a team-high eight tackles to lead the Lancers in tackles for the second straight game.
— DB Kam Gambrell had an interception return for a touchdown of 32 yards.
Buena 64, Marana 6
BUENA
— QB/DB Jovoni Borbon completed 7 of 9 passes for 86 yards and two TDs. Borbon has 4,849 passing yards in his career. His pursuit of 5,000 yards passing continues when the Colts travel to Cienega in a big 5A Southern showdown Friday. Borbon also rushed 13 times for 70 yards with three TDs. He also recorded an interception and four tackles as a safety.
— RB/LB Tory Walters rushed for 142 yards on five carries including an 80-yard TD run. He also had an interception playing on defense.
— RB Jesse Marquez finished with 84 yards on nine rushes.
MARANA
— QB Samuel Brown, a freshman, completed 14 of 32 passes for 223 yards with a TD and two interceptions.
— WR Seth Manuel had seven catches for 90 yards and a TD.
— WR/CB Tanner Wengert recorded three receptions for 82 yards. He also had five tackles, one for loss.
