Have a gun for an arm, not an actual shotgun? Sheriff Rich Rodriguez is looking for you.

Rodriguez and his posse — otherwise known as his coaching staff at Arizona — are not looking for trouble in these parts.

They’re on a quest for the rose and will choose the right men for the job to continue changing the game. The rose is otherwise called the Rose Bowl. Rodriguez is not really the new sheriff in town — he’s already coached a year at Arizona — but he is trying to bring the tough old west mentality to Tucson (as the following video suggests).

As my colleague and friend Steve Rivera told me, unless you know the content, it’s like watching “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.”

I must admit this is the first time I’ve watched a recruiting film such as this one.

It is certainly a viable ice-breaker with recruits and their parents. If I was a recruit’s dad, I’d want to know why tight ends/special teams coach Charlie Ragle got kicked out of the saloon.

That should have been an actor portraying ASU coach Todd Graham or least a Sun Devil fan, shouldn’t it?
