Christina-Taylor-Green Memorial

Located in historic Dennis Weaver/Kreigh Park in Oro Valley, the Christina-Taylor Green Memorial statue overlooks the Canyon del Oro Little League “Green Field.”

Christina-Taylor Green was born on September 11, 2001 and the statue in her name is constructed out of metal and other materials from the 9-11 site from New York.

The statue includes a large piece of I beam from the Twin Towers and some metal pieces from the Pentagon. Additionally, a boulder harvested near the Pennsylvania site is located near the statue.

Green played little league for CDO, as did a handful of Major League players including Ian Kinsler, Colin Porter, Shelley Duncan, Chris Duncan and Brian Anderson.
