Pima Community College women’s basketball player Sydni Stallworth (Palo Verde) received two tremendous honors from the NJCAA and the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame.

Stallworth, a 5-foot-3 freshman guard, was named one of 40 players to compete in the NJCAA National All-Star game in Niceville, Florida. The festivities will be July 21-24. Stallworth is the third Pima player to be selected to play in the All-Star game (Tia Morrison and Abyee Maracigan, twice).

The Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame also requested Stallworth’s jersey to hang in their museum in Knoxville next year. Stallworth is the fourth Pima player to receive this honor (Deanna Daniels, A’jha Edwards and Raja Moreno-Ross).

Stallworth was named first team NJCAA Division II All-American and was the ACCAC Division II Player of the Year. She helped the Aztecs to a 28-8 record and a third place finish in the NJCAA Division II National Tournament where she was selected to the All-Tournament team.
