Benson standout Emily Darwin is on schedule to be the next player from Southern Arizona to score 1,000 career points. The 5-10 junior scored 433 points as a freshman and 511 as a sophomore and she is averaging 16 points a game.
The Bobcats will open up the season at the Small-School Boyd Baker Tournament at Amphitheater.

Andy Morales was recognized by the AIA as the top high school reporter in 2014, he was awarded the Ray McNally Award in 2017, a 2019 AZ Education News award winner and he has been a youth, high school and college coach for over 30 years.
