Jayden Rittenbach caught 6 passes for 215 yards with three TDs to help lead Pusch Ridge Christian Academy past Thatcher 58-26 Friday night. The win pushed the Lions to 2-1 on the year and 1-0 in the 3A South Region.
The Lions need one more game to become post season eligible and the Lions are in control of their own destiny as long as the team stays in the top two of the South Region to earn an automatic playoff berth according to the new 3A Conference rules.
Rittenbach earned an APS Digital Print banner for himself and his school and the “Frog & Firkin Football” for his teammates to sign at practice this week.
Pusch Ridge travels to Safford (2-0) on Friday in another region tilt.
