Sunnyside’s Vitoria Perez signs with Scottsdale Community College

Sunnyside graduate Vitoria Perez capped her memorable year, one in which she led the Blue Devils to a 5A Southern championship, by signing a national letter of intent with Scottsdale Community College on Thursday night at the Blue Devils’ gym.

Perez, a 5-foot-8 forward, was a four-year varsity player at Sunnyside.

She averaged 12.0 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.5 steals per game in the 2020-21 season. She was selected an AllSportsTucson.com Class 5A Southern Arizona All-Star.

Scottsdale is part of the ACCAC that comprises Pima College, so Perez will return to her hometown next season as a college player playing against the Aztecs at Pima’s West Campus Gym.
