The Tucson Saguaros won the first game 12-1 over the Garden City (Kan.) Wind in a best-of-three quarterfinal series on Tuesday at Kino Memorial Stadium.
The Saguaros, the No. 1 seed out of the Mountain Division, can clinch the series victory over No. 4 Garden City on Wednesday night at 7 at Kino Stadium and move on to host the semifinals that start Saturday.
The No. 2-seeded Alpine (Texas) Cowboys are hosting the No. 3 Trinidad (Colo.) Triggers in the other quarterfinal series. The first game was rained out Tuesday and will be played Wednesday.
