With their eighth consecutive week at No. 1 this morning, the Arizona Wildcats (20-0) have added to their school-record streak and also tied Ohio State for eighth-place with the number of top rankings in the history of the Associated Press poll.

Arizona and Ohio State have each accomplished 37 weeks as the No. 1 team in the nation since the poll began in 1949. The No. 7 team is Cincinnati with 45 appearances at the top.

UCLA has the most appearances with 134.

Since Arizona’s first No. 1 ranking in 1987-88 under Lute Olson, the Wildcats rank fourth in number of weeks at the top behind Duke (106), North Carolina (51) and Kansas (49).
