Baxter’s iron-man career at Arizona, starting 48 consecutive games, came to an unfortunate end when he opted to repair a torn meniscus — the same injury that Scooby Wright suffered — before the Wildcats played in the 2010 Alamo Bowl.

Baxter suffered the tear a month before the season ended against UCLA but started the last four games of the regular season.

Arizona lost big to Oklahoma State 36-10 as the Wildcats failed to muster a running game without Baxter, their captain, in the game. The Wildcats gained only 90 yards rushing on 38 carries. Arizona quarterback Nick Foles was sacked five times.
