[tps_title]All-time Arizona Pac-12 coaching villains?[/tps_title]
UCLA’s Jim Mora has to be at the top with a 4-0 record against Arizona. David Shaw is also unbeaten against the Wildcats, but he’s only coached against them once in 2012 in the overtime thriller won by the Cardinal 54-48.
Shaw’s soft-spoken style comes off as a priest compared to Mora’s ornery personality. Shaw will try to go 2-0 against Arizona tomorrow. Has any Pac-12 coach beside Mora gone at least four games without a loss against the Wildcats?
No.
Jim Harbaugh was close at 3-1. Mike Stoops and Nick Foles beat Harbaugh and Andrew Luck in 2009 at Arizona Stadium by a score of 43-38.
Mike Riley was 8-4 against Arizona in his 14 years with Oregon State. In his last seven games coaching the Beavers at Arizona Stadium, Riley was 6-1 ending with a six-game winning streak.
Riley was too nice of a guy to despise, although Arizona did not mind seeing him leave to Nebraska.
Interesting to note: Arizona will play in succession UCLA, Stanford and Oregon State, three programs that have not been kind to the Wildcats as of late. Stanford has a 10-3 record against Arizona dating to 1999, two years before Dick Tomey left the program.
