DIVISION III GOLF
As of Sunday, Willcox (Section III) and Desert Christian (Section VII) are the two teams from Southern Arizona set to qualify for the Division III state golf tournament. Empire (Section III) is on course to grab one of the eight at-large berths. Desert Christian sophomore Johnny Gleason is the top ranked individual from Southern Arizona.
The D-III state tournament will be held from May 13-14 at the Antelope Hills Golf Course in Prescott.
Tanque Verde junior Jake Livermore is set to qualify as an individual as is Bisbee junior Jose Escarcega. The regular season ends on Tuesday, May 3.
