Steve Rivera: Don’t cry for Arizona Wildcats, still good team despite personnel issues

AllSportsTucson.com senior writer Steve Rivera was a guest on Phoenix radio station NBC Sports 1060-AM yesterday discussing the Arizona Wildcats basketball program with the season starting today against Michigan State in Honolulu.

Rivera touched on a variety of topics including Ray Smith’s retirement, the Allonzo Trier situation and Chance Comanche’s potential return tonight from an academic suspension that kept him on the bench in Arizona’s two exhibition games to this point.

“These guys if they can play seven or eight now with Chance maybe coming back, they’ll be okay,” Rivera said in the interview. “Don’t cry for Arizona.”
