Taylor Thompson scored 34 points Thursday night to lead The Gregory School over Valley Union 51-18. The victory gave the Hawks (8-1) a 3-0 record in the 1A South Region. The 34-33 loss came against 3A foe Sahuarita in the preseason Boyd Baker Tournament.
The one blemish on the Hawks record was more than balanced by a 60-50 win at San Carlos on Tuesday night. The Braves made a Division V semifinal appearance last year and Thompson scored 39 points in that win….
