Catalina Foothills junior guard Audrey Nicholson committed to play for Boston University. A 6-foot-3 forward with a 4.2 GPA, Nicholson moved to Tucson after playing her first two years in Georgia.

“Committing to play basketball at Boston University is an exciting outcome to all the hours I’ve spent in the gym and all the tireless traveling my family has done to support me and my basketball experience,” Nicholson said.

“Also, I am so excited to continue my family’s tradition of Division I sports! Both my parents and older sister have competed at this level and I can’t wait to have that experience. I guess the best part is that I’m slowly realizing that the dream of playing in college is real. I’m really looking forward to being a part of what Coach (Katy) Steding is building out in Boston!”

“Audrey is a very special player,” her club coach Chris Klassen added. “She can do so many different things on the court. Her height and athleticism matched with her ability to handle the ball and shoot it like a guard, post up smaller defenders, rebound and start the break herself and see the floor really puts pressure on opponents. She adds a special dynamic that doesn’t come around in Tucson often. She is a very smart player who is extremely dedicated and hard working. We are very happy to have her in our Tucson Rattlers family and cannot wait to see how she does this season.”
