QB JOVONI BORBON, BUENA
Buena sophomore quarterback Jovoni Borbon completed five touchdown passes, including one with 6.2 seconds left in regulation and another in overtime, to lead the Colts to a 49-48 overtime victory over visiting Mountain View.
Borbon’s 6-yard TD pass to Kaleb Bryant with 6.2 seconds left in regulation forced overtime. His 6-yard TD pass to Khalil Gardley in overtime put Buena up 49-42. Mountain View cut the lead to 49-48 on a TD run but the Mountain Lions’ two-point conversion failed.
Borbon, who has taken part in the Rich Rodriguez Football Camp at Arizona, has led the Colts (5-4 overall) to at least a .500 record after they snapped a 22-game losing streak earlier this season.
Borbon’s first three TD passes were to Mandrell Garrick, including one for 70 yards.

— Joiner, an Arizona commit, completed TD passes of 16 yards to Terrell Huggins, 14 yards to Terrell Hayward and 32 and 20 yards to Jerry White.
— The game featured back-to-back 95-yard kickoff returns for touchdowns, first by Ironwood Ridge’s David Phelps and then Hayward.
— Cienega PK Ezra Figueroa made two important field goals from 27 and 35 yards.
— The Bobcats’ Geo Owens broke loose for a 65-yard TD run.
— Among the Ironwood Ridge highlights were Trevor Parry’s 15-yard TD pass to Andrew Cook and Nick Brahler’s 30-yard rushing TD. Brahler’s score enabled Ironwood Ridge to take a 42-41 lead with less than two minutes remaining.
— Joiner’s second TD pass to White in the game and his two-point conversion throw to Steven Harshman put Cienega ahead 49-42 with 1:43 remaining.
— With 26.4 seconds remaining in regulation, a TD pass by Parry tied the game at 49.
— Brahler gave Ironwood Ridge a 55-49 lead with a TD run in OT but the PAT was blocked.
— Joiner’s 10-yard TD run tied the game at 55 and Figueroa’s extra-point — after a false-start penalty moved the ball back — gave the Bobcats the victory.

— Borbon’s 70-yard TD pass to Garrick tied the game at 28 in the third quarter.
— Adams’ third TD run of the game put the Mountain Lions ahead 35-28 with 6:14 left in the third quarter.
— Varney Larson’s TD run increased Mountain View’s lead to 42-28 with 10:45 left in the fourth quarter.
— Borbon’s 10-yard TD pass completed to Garrick cut the lead to 42-35 with 5:42 left.
— Borbon connected on a 6-yard TD pass to Kaleb Bryant with only 6.2 seconds remaining to tie the game and force OT.
— Borbon completed a 6-yard TD pass to Khalil Gardley in OT to give the Colts a 49-42 lead.
