Canyon del Oro senior Gavin Davis rushed for 135 yards on 13 carries in a 59-0 win over Flowing Wells Friday night. Davis also collected five touchdowns in the victory to help the Dorados go to 1-0 on the year.
Davis and Canyon del Oro will receive a banner from APS Digital Print on Tuesday at Practice and his team, coaches and family are invited to Wings over Broadway on Thursday for the presentation of the Player of the Week Plaque.
APS Digital Print and the Tucson Conquistadores have agreed to recognized the Football Player of the Week and the awards will culminate with the Frog and Firkin Southern Arizona All-Star lists in December.
The Dorados will travel to Prescott (0-1) on Friday and the Caballeros will visit Walden Grove (0-0).
