Southern Arizona Baseball Tucson (SAZB) will have tryouts to form a Washington Nationals Scout Team on Dec. 12 from 12 to 4 p.m. at the Kino Sports Complex Stadium.
The Nationals have expanded from New Mexico into Arizona for the 2021 baseball season.
According to manager Shane Folsom, the head coach at Sabino, SAZB “will represent the Washington Nationals Scout Team with the highest standards in character, discipline, and baseball commitment.”
The scout teams in New Mexico and Arizona will play in showcases that allow players to be exposed to college coaches and professional scouts.
“Our goal at SAZB is to put as many players as possible in college to play baseball and receive a college degree,” Folsom said.
The cost is $30 with only 60 players allowed to register on a first-come, first-served basis. Walk-ins are welcome if space is available. Any questions can be directed to Shane Folsom at Shane@sazb.info.
