Pima basketball and volleyball teams earned spots in the NJCAA preseason basketball and volleyball polls released on Wednesday.
The women’s basketball team (25-7 last season) received 108 votes in the national poll to earn a No. 7 ranking in Division II. The men’s basketball (19-13) team just missed the top 20 but the program is listed second in the “receiving votes” category.
The women’s volleyball team (15-14) earned 40 votes to start the season with a No. 13 ranking.
The Aztecs compete in the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC).
