Empire’s Yani Brown commits to Arizona Christian

Empire athlete Yami Brown announced today he has made a commitment to Arizona Christian, an NAIA program located in Glendale.

Brown, a 5-foot-10 and 160-pound prospect, rushed for 668 yards on 70 carries with six touchdowns in 2019. The Ravens played only one game this fall because of COVID-19.

He also tallied 26 tackles as a cornerback in 2019.

“What excites me is that I get a chance to achieve a dream,” Brown mentioned. “Not a lot of people play college football and I have done that now. There is just one more step.

“I chose Arizona Christian University because when I went on the visit the coaches really love their players and they care. And I want to get closer with God. Since it’s a Christian school I get to achieve that.”
