Desert View’s Anton Jamero makes commitment to Ripon (Wis.) College

Tremendous day for Desert View senior Anton Jamero.

The 5-foot-10 and 220-pound linebacker committed to Ripon (Wis.) College on the same day he had successful knee surgery.

The very fact that Ripon stuck with him since he injured the knee late during the season made a lasting impression on Jamero.

“I chose Ripon because Coach (Ron) Ernst kept on checking on me when I was injured and today he called me and see how my surgery went,” Jamero said. “He also sent me to this Zoom meeting where his players talked about the school and the program and it got me more interest to go to Ripon.

“I look forward to playing the game I love since I was little and I also to get my degree.”
