Track and Field Olympic Trials
400m
Former Tucson High standout Johnnie Blockburger ran 46.75 in the prelims of the 400 today at the Olympic Team Trials taking place in Eugene, Oregon. Trevor Stewart of North Carolina A&T came in with the fastest time of 44.75 and the last of the 16 qualifiers for the semifinals came in with a time of 45.81 to edge out Blockburger.
Blockburger was the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year competing for Arizona and his best time of the year in the 400 was 44.71 which was an Olympic Qualifying Standard (45.20).
Swimming and Diving Olympic Trials
1500 Free
Former Sahuaro standout Aidan Reagan will be competing in the 1500 Free Saturday
morning at the Olympic Team Trials taking place in Omaha. Reagan has an entry time of 15:35.35 and the Final is set for Sunday if he qualifies. Reagan transferred from Salpointe to Sahuaro his senior year and he represents Fast Swim at the trials. Reagan will be swimming for Indiana this fall.
