The 9U Jaguars played a steady run game to get past the Falcons Saturday morning at Catalina High School by a score of 18-0. The victory kept the team from Tucson High undefeated in the Tucson Youth Football and Spirit Federation (TYFSF) and the Falcons remain in the mix for one of the top spots in the division.

Other teams playing near the top of their respective divisions at this stage of the season include the 13U/14U Jaguars and Vikings, the 12U Jaguars and Raiders, the 11U Falcons and Redskins, the 10U Raiders, Vikings and Wildcats and the 8U Thunder, Vikings and Dolphins but there is still plenty of action left to shift the divisions.

The 9U Falcons were led by Deshawn Williams, Gabriel Lopez and Jayden Ortiz but the team was unable to score despite eating up yardage and game time which limited the opportunities for the Jaguars. Still, Jordan Moore Bustamante was able to breakthrough for a 14-yard scoring run in the first quarter and he added a 6-yard run in the second to give the Jaguars a 12-0 lead at the half.

Bustamante finished with 34 yards and Santiago Acuna added a 23-yard dash for the 18-0 final in the third quarter.
