Marana junior QB Elijah Joplin completed 33 of 50 pass attempts for 398 yards with five TDs in a 36-35 win over Sunnyside Friday night. The victory pushed the Tigers to 5-1 on the year after the mild upset with No. 12 Marana beating No. 10 Sunnyside (4-2) with the next set of AIA rankings coming out on Tuesday.
Joplin earned a banner from APS Digital Print and a Frog and Firkin Football for his teammates to sign.
