Salpointe senior golfer Mackenzie McRee became the fourth golfer from Southern Arizona to win two state titles in the event held at the Omni Tucson National on Oct. 26
McRee earned her second individual title thanks to a 3-under 138 to hold off Makenzie Cooper of Canyon View (140) and Marley Moncada of Cienega (140). McRee also won the 2018 state title as a freshman.
McRee also won the Phoenix Metro Junior Championship in February held at the Aguila Golf Course in Laveen Village. McRee held on to beat Hamilton standout Jennifer Seo by two strokes after shooting a 2-under-par 142 in that event.
