Many Southern Arizona baseball teams are rated high in the first power ratings released by the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) on Tuesday morning, including Walden Grove (8-0) as the top team in the state in 4A and Tombstone (8-0) the No. 1 team in 2A.
These teams are ranked No. 2 in the state in their classifications — Nogales (7-0) in 5A, Pusch Ridge (9-0) in 3A and St. David (8-1) in 1A.
The following are rankings released March 29 of each classication in the state pertaining to baseball competition. The records listed are from games recognized by the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA). These reflect mostly in-season games and not tournaments that are not sanctioned by the AIA.
