Former Cienega standout Delaney Buntin scored in the 5th minute on an offering from former Salpointe standout Kyleigh Oliver to give Pima an early 1-0 lead. That goal from about six yards out held up the rest of the way with former Salpointe standout Angelina Amparano picking up a couple of saves.
The Aztecs are now 1-0 on the year with a trip to Prescott coming on Friday to take on Western Wyoming Community College. Game time is set for 2:30 p.m. at Mountain Valley Park.
