Brandon Martz, a senior at Catalina Foothills, won the individual title at 15:39.4 in the D-2 state cross country meet at the 5,000-meter Cave Creek Golf Course on Nov. 12.
Martz placed first in four races this school year, including the AIA sectional meet at Rio Rico on Nov. 2.
He also was the champion of Salpointe’s John Gleeson Invitational on Oct. 15 and the Mt. Carmel/ASICS XC Invitational.
