Tucson Saguaros’ winning streak at seven games following 28-9 rout of Roswell Invaders

The red-hot Tucson Saguaros, winners of seven straight and 30-9 overall, produced 26 hits, including seven for extra bases, in their 28-9 rout at the Roswell (N.M.) Invaders on Tuesday night.

Tucson extended its lead to three games over the Trinidad (Colo.) Triggers (27-12) in the Mountain Division of the Pecos Independent Baseball League.

The Saguaros return to Kino Memorial Stadium on Thursday for the start of a three-game series against the Alpine (Texas) Cowboys (27-16) at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 with gates opening at 6:30 p.m.
