Tucson Saguaros return to Kino Memorial Stadium for pivotal series with Roswell Invaders

The Tucson Saguaros are in need of a victory.

They were swept by the Alpine (Texas) Cowboys in three road games earlier this week and lost four straight games overall at the hands of the Cowboys extending to last week’s series at Kino Memorial Stadium.

The Saguaros (31-13) had their lead in the Pecos League Mountain Division cut to one game over Alpine (32-16).

Tucson starts an important four-game series at Kino tonight at 7 against the Roswell (N.M.) Invaders (29-20).

Promotions for the four-game series — the last of the regular season — include Firefighters Night on Friday and Little League Night on Saturday. Firefighters and Little League players (wearing jersey top) pay only $5 for a ticket on each night. The general admission price for tickets is $10.

Alpine has a three-game home series scheduled against the last-place Austin Weirdos (1-42) from Friday through Sunday to conclude its regular season.
