Walden Grove sophomore midfielder/forward Vivien Villarreal capped off her high-level start to the season in the last week of November with being named the MVP of the Brandon Bean Invitational at Kino Sports Complex on Saturday after the Red Wolves captured the title.
She is the Jet Sports Training Female Athlete of the Month for November.
Entering the semifinal and championship rounds Saturday, Villarreal already amassed eight goals and three assists earlier in the tournament last week in wins over Flowing Wells, Pusch Ridge and Mica Mountain.
In the 4-0 win over Buena in the semifinals, Villarreal scored a goal and had an assist, and in the 2-1 victory over Tucson High in the championship, she had two goals.
Through 26 games in her young high school career, Villarreal has 46 goals and 32 assists for 124 points.
