Mountain View graduate Talia Martin’s run-scoring double in the bottom of the eighth inning gave No. 2 Pima Community College a 3-2 victory Saturday over No. 3 South Mountain in the NJCAA Region I, Division II championship game at Phoenix College.
The Aztecs (50-7) advance to the NJCAA Division II World Series from May 19-24 at Oxford, Ala. It is their second consecutive trip to the World Series after winning the regional title last year.
