Salpointe senior standout Colton Raetzman announced his commitment to play baseball for Utah Tech, an NCAA Division I program located in St. George, Utah. The Trailblazers will be competing in the Big Sky Conference beginning with Raetzman’s freshman year.
“I’m honored and blessed to announce my commitment to play DI baseball at Utah Tech University,” Raetzman announced on social media. “First of all I would like to thank God for all the blessings he has put in my life. I would then like to thank my parents for all the countless hours they have spent helping me chase my dream. Lastly I would like to thank the Utah Tech coaching staff for giving me this amazing opportunity to continue my academic and athletic career. Go Trailblazers!!”
Raetzman helped lead the Lancers to a 4A state championship last spring and he was named Southern Arizona Player of the Year for his efforts. Raetzman also made the Team Arizona roster for the National High School Championship.
