— The San Francisco Giants placed former Arizona catcher Daniel Susac on the 10-day injured list with a strained lower back on Friday. Susac is on the IL for a second time after previously missing almost four weeks with elbow neuritis in April and May. The rookie has hit .262/.310/.330 in 115 plate appearances, with most of his success coming in April. He has hit just .200/.258/.238 in 26 games since returning from the elbow injury.
