FC Tucson’s Men in Black traveled to Tennessee to face Chattanooga Red Wolves SC Saturday night with the hope of keeping their momentum alive from last week’s win over Fort Lauderdale CF.
It was a hard fought match against Chattanooga, as FC Tucson rallied late to force a draw at 2-2.
The last time these two clubs met on June 12 at Kino North Stadium, Chattanooga defeated FC Tucson in an exciting match that ended with a 3-2 score.
In Saturday’s match, which was paused due to a weather delay, the Red Wolves scored first with a shot just to the left of the goal in the 33rd minute. The next one came off of a header in the 63rd minute of the game.
Ricky Ruiz scored the first goal and assisted on the other.
FC Tucson would not be denied, however, as it kept attacking.
Their effort would not be in vain as FC Tucson finally scored on a penalty kick at the 86th minute. Daniel Bedoya put the ball into the net after new forward, Tobenna Uzo, was fouled.

Then, at the 88th minute, Shak Adams came up with a little bit more magic netting a long shot from midfield to tie the game.
This was the second consecutive match the Men in Black — both games under interim coach Jon Pearlman — were able to cash in on points this month. They got one with the draw and improved to 3-4-4 with 13 points.
FC Tucson will return to Kino North next Saturday to take on 5-6-1 New England Revolution II at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPN Plus.
