Ironwood Ridge QB Jaiden Martinez, the Nighthawks’ leading passer and rusher, suffered a concussion at the end of last week’s loss to Mountain View and his status is undetermined for this playoff game. … This will be the first meeting between the programs. … Kellis is looking for its first playoff win after losing five games in the first round since the program can into existence in 2006. Two of the losses were to Sabino in 2009 and Marana in 2016. … Ironwood Ridge has a streak of five straight playoff losses dating to when it lost in the quarterfinals to Liberty in 2017. … Kellis college commitments: ATH Tristan Bacon, Arizona State. Ironwood Ridge commitments: WR/CB Grant Dooling, Colorado School of Mines; and DE David Baba, Colorado School of Mines.
