Sunnyside High School honored its 23 college-bound seniors with a ceremony at its auditorium on Friday.
Track and field athlete Jose Sierra, a distance thrower headed to Pima Community College, was unavailable to attend because he was competing in the Open Division meet in Phoenix.
Two of the athletes — Isela Rodriguez (flag football) and Alezandra Robles (wrestling) — are undecided with their college choice but destined to sign and compete.
