Nogales’ High School graduate Demetrio Crisantes, the consensus No. 1 prospect in the Arizona Diamondbacks’ farm system, will continue his spectacular 2026 season in the Arizona Fall League and is slated to play a game in Tucson.
Crisantes, 22, will play for the Salt River Rafters after reaching Triple-A this season.

The Rafters are scheduled to play at the Kino Sports Complex on Oct. 10 (time and opponent to be announced).
Crisantes, a Tucson native, grew up in Southern Arizona before the Diamondbacks drafted him in 2022 out of Nogales. He signed a letter of intent with the Arizona Wildcats but opted to sign with the Diamondbacks, who selected him in the seventh round.
He is expecting to have an abundance fans, consisting mostly of family members and friends, when the Rafters visit the Kino.
“A lot of people can come watch me play, it’s going to be a good experience,” Crisantes told Arizona Sports. “I played a lot of high school tournaments there in Kino, so it’s going to be cool to go back and play there. … We won a couple tournaments at that complex. It was always fun to play with the guys back in high school, you’ve played with them since I was four years old.
“You grew up together in a small town, so it’s going to be cool to experience that with the D-backs organization.”
In 82 games overall this summer from High-A to Triple-A, Crisantes is batting .287 with a slugging percentage of .459 and OPS of .825. He has nine home runs and 49 RBIs.
