Three down, two more All-American teams in sight today. Scooby Wright was named a Sporting News All-American today after earning that status on the AP team yesterday. He can become Arizona’s first unanimous All-American since cornerback Chris McAlister earned that honor in 1998. The All-American teams of the Football Writers Association of America and the American Football Coaches Association are upcoming. Wright was selected a Walter Camp All-American last week.

Joining Magloire as Arizona JC signees today are DL Anthony Fotu and TE Matt Morin. Magloire once played quarterback at Appalachian State and Morin, a former quarterback at San Diego State is another Scottsdale Chaparral product who will join former coach Charlie Ragle at Arizona. He has played tight end at Riverside (Calif.) Community College the last two seasons. Fotu, of Laney College in northern California, has an opportunity to play right away with defensive tackle Dan Pettinato exhausting his eligibility.

This could have been a banner day for Michigan, which proved to be too hasty in not allowing Rich Rodriguez to finish what he started in Ann Arbor.
