Marana standout defender Victoria Gutierrez signed with Friends University in a ceremony held at Marana earlier today.
“I am so full of emotions today. It is signing day for Victoria,” her father Ray Gutierrez wrote.
“I can honestly say we did good. You have kids and your expectations are set high. We push them to be the best they can be and to live a better life than you. We have always pushed education first and sports a close second. Well, Victoria will graduate with a 4.18 GPA and will go on to play soccer in college. Today it was made official. So many of her friends came out to celebrate with her, which made it extra special. Victoria, all your hard work is paying off and I am so proud of you.”
