Sahuaro junior standout Lauren Wedman announced her commitment to play for Colorado Mesa University. Wedman is leading the Cougars (9-4) at the plate this year with a .526 average with 13 RBI and five doubles.
“I am excited about my future as a Maverick,” Wedman said. “I appreciate the opportunity to further my education while being able to play softball. Thank you to my teammates, coaches and family for their support.”
