Canyon del Oro infielder Brayden Benavides commits to Concordia

Canyon del Oro standout infielder Brayden Benavides committed to play for Concordia University of Chicago. The Cougars are coming off of a stellar 40-15 season that ended with a trip to the NCAA D-III World Series.

“Extremely excited to announce that I have committed to play baseball at Concordia University of Chicago,” Benavides posted on his announcement. “Thank you to everyone who has coached me over the years and supported me up to this point. Excited to be a Cougar!”

Andy Morales was recognized by the AIA as the top high school reporter in 2014 and he was awarded the Ray McNally Award in 2017 and he has been a youth, high school and college coach for over 30 years. His own children have won multiple state high school championships and were named to all-state teams.
