Tucson Saguaros lead the Mountain South; Teachers to be honored on June 21

The Tucson Saguaros improved to 13-3 on the year after the team beat Alpine, Texas 17-5 last night at the Kino Sports Stadium. The Saguaros lead the Mountain South of the Pecos League by four games over Alpine (10-7). The Cowboys beat Tucson 10-4 Thursday night and the third game of the series will be played tonight at 7 p.m.

The Saguaros will be honoring Arizona educators at their game on Saturday, June 21 at Kino Stadium at 7 p.m. Free tickets for educators and their immediate families (limit four per household) for the first 200 claimed tickets.

Discounted tickets for $5 (50% off the $10 price) will be available after the 200 free tickets have been claimed. All educators will be acknowledged during the game. Kids can run the bases with our mascot in the third inning and get players to sign their balls at the booster table throughout the game.

The Saguaros features several players from Tucson including Jaymon Cervantes (Empire), Travis Cole (Sahuaro) and Antonio Fernandez (Sabino).
