Jet Sports Training Male Athlete of the Month: Sabino track runner Milo Mandolini

Sabino Class of 2027 standout track athlete Milo Mandolini placed first in the 800- and 1,500-meter runs and the 4 x 400-meter relay in the USATF Arizona Association Junior Olympics on June 14 and 15 at Mesa Community College.

Representing the Tucson Elite Athletic Club in the 17- and 18-year-old division, Mandolini recorded personal-best times in the 800 (1:58.25) and the 1,500 (at the time at 4:09.87).

The 4 x 400 relay team consisting of Mandolini, Vijay Carrier, Donovan Davidson and Cristiano Morales finished in a time of 3:25.2.

Mandolini also competed in the Nike Outdoor Nationals at Eugene, Ore., on June 19-22.

He finished with a personal-best 400-relay split time of 50.3 seconds and topped the 1,500 personal-best time he finished with in the Junior Olympics meet a week earlier, finishing in 4:05.32.

For his performance in June, Mandolini is the Jet Sports Training Male Athlete of the Month.

Mandolini is coming off a spring in which he set the school record in the 1,600-meter run at the AIA Division III-IV meet at 4:17.64.

He is also an accomplished jazz music artist who performs with the Tucson Jazz Institute despite his young age. Check out his performance with the saxophone in a performance last year:
